Gaia Flowers – Policies and Procedures
At Gaia Flowers, we are dedicated to delivering your floral and gift orders in a timely manner. The actual time and date your order is delivered is affected by the time of day your order is placed, the method of delivery or shipping you select, weather conditions, and whether or not the destination is a remote location. Our delivery policies explain the delivery options available to you and how we process orders.
Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your arrangement due to the availability of certain flowers at certain times of the year. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another similar color.
Please consider your order delivered on the day you requested if you receive a confirmation. If we have any difficulties with your order, we will contact you by telephone and/or e-mail.
Orders received before 12PM PST will typically be delivered same day if selected (excluding holidays and peak floral periods). We will notify you if same day delivery is not available. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day.
Recipient Not Home
We will leave the delivery with a neighbor, an apartment office or a co-worker. We will leave a message on the recipient’s phone if you supplied us with a phone number. If we are unable to locate anyone to accept the order, weather permitting we will leave the delivery on the door step. If none of the above is possible we will contact the sender and notify them that we will attempt re-deliver the item the following day.
Sunday is not a regular delivery day. To make arrangements for a Sunday delivery please call the shop 702-997-0222, Additional charges may apply.
Gift Items Shipped Directly
Our gift items and custom vases are available for local delivery only.
If any customer claims an order was not delivered, we ask that we are given at least 24-48 hours to investigate and to determine what has occurred. In many cases, delivery was attempted but either the recipient was not home/office and/or no neighbors were available to accept the order. We reserve the right to attempt a re-delivery if this occurs. Please note that we make every effort to make the delivery on the scheduled date. Because we are working with perishable products, sometimes Mother Nature works against us, and a particular situation (leaving on a porch) may be out of our control.
If an order is filled and delivered to the recipient and there is a question of the quality of the arrangement, the recipient should contact Gaia Flowers, Gifts and Art directly. In almost every case, we will gladly replace the arrangement. To request a replacement, Gaia Flowers must be contacted within 24 hours of the delivery. Bare in mind that flowers are perishable. Proper care is required. No refunds or replacements will be made for any order should the recipient or sender not notify us within 1 day of the original delivery date. It is the responsibility of the sender to review all of the information provided on this website relating to refunds and/or replacements.
Gaia Flowers reserves the right to reject any order provided to us that we deem questionable or possibly fraudulent. When Gaia Flowers receives an order, we review the entire order and periodically compare the information provided to us with the bank of the person placing the order. If we determine that fraudulent information is provided we will send an email to the sender to inform them of the situation to determine if the information was provided in error.
Gaia Flowers is not responsible for any order where the recipient refuses to accept the item. Gaia Flowers will not issue refunds to any customer where the recipient, for whatever reason, will not accept the item or refuses delivery.
Gaia Flowers is not liable for customer errors that result in the over-ordering of a product. During the checkout process the customer is provided with a total of the order PRIOR to the order being submitted. The customer is given the option to remove items or reduce the quantity ordered. Gaia Flowers makes every effort to review orders where multiple quantities of a same item are ordered but we do not guarantee, nor are we liable, for any order sent out exactly as the customer ordered. If a customer orders more than one of any single item but meant to send a lesser quantity and the ordered amount is sent to the recipient, no refund can be offered since what was ordered is what will be delivered.
Should any customer place an order through Gaia Flowers, Gifts and Art and then need to cancel the order, the cancellation must be made prior to the delivery of the order. If the cancellation is received after the order is delivered, no refund can be issued. Cancellations will not be accepted if a customer places an order but provides information that prevents direct delivery, such as in the case of a wrong office or home address. The customer can obtain new information so that the order can then be properly delivered using correct information.
Deliveries to schools must be placed before 10AM to guarantee same day delivery. Deliveries to students cannot be guaranteed as each school has their own policy on accepting flowers for students. It is recommended that you check with the school administration before placing an order for a student. All school deliveries will be delivered to the office.
We deliver from 10AM-5PM PST. Funeral deliveries will be verified with the funeral home or church and delivered accordingly. We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee them. Please contact us by phone for timed delivery requests.
We will do our best to hand the delivery directly to the recipient, but many businesses require us to deliver to security or the reception area.
Delivery Charges/Wire Charges
Delivery charges are by zone in the Las Vegas Valley and relevant delivery fees will apply based on distance and time commitment. Gaia Flowers does not deliver to Boulder City or to Mesquite. Other localities in Clark County Nevada may also not be serviced.
Special Delivery Instructions
If you input special delivery instructions we will not be responsible for the item once the instructions are carried out. Ex: If you tell us to leave the flowers on the door step we will not be responsible once the item is left on the step.
